Note From Suz: So my title for this book was WILD, WILD WES, and Silhouette even had a cover for the book, when, seemingly out of the blue, they called to say they wanted to go with a more "suspensey" title.

This was right after my Troubleshooters series book, INTO THE NIGHT, hit the New York Times list.  THAT book's title had been changed by the publisher from INTO THE FIRE to INTO THE NIGHT.  Why?  I was never really told.  But apparently that new title made book buyers at least pick the book up to look at it, hence it's presence on the bestseller list.

With that inexact science at hand, I decided to think up titles including the word NIGHT for this change to WILD, WILD WES.  (For the record, I particularly loved the WWW title.  And I didn't think it needed changing.)

After brainstorming (and getting suggestions from the gang on my BB), I came up with NIGHT WATCH, which the publisher liked, too.
