Countdown to

INTO THE NIGHT

11/26/02

ITN DAY!

It's out, it's here, it's available!

Signings, real and virtual, and on-line chats...

Note from Suz:  Here I am in La Crosse, Wisconsin with the members of Tina's Waldenbooks readers group.  That's me in the middle front, red shirt.  After the signing, the group took me to the mall's food court and fed me dinner!  It was a great, fun opportunity to talk in a relaxed, casual setting.  (Thanks, Tina for setting it up!)

So here we are!  It's November!

Into the Night has officially been released.

I hope you enjoyed the countdown -- I was a little scattered at times -- I'm still working hard on GONE TOO FAR.   We're down to the wire now...

A couple of last countdown-ish things:

1) I've got a booksigning coming up, on Saturday, December 7th.

If you live in the New England area, I hope you'll join me!  Here's the info:

Framingham, MASSACHUSETTS
Saturday, December 7, 2002
2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
INTO THE NIGHT Book Release Signing
Barnes & Noble
Shopper's World
Rt. 9, Framingham, MA
For directions:  508-628-5567

I've got another fun event happening on Saturday, December 7th -- one of my all time favorite folksingers will be appearing at the Appalachian Benefit Coffeehouse in Natick, Massachusetts (next town over from Framingham!).  I'm actually going to be running sound for Don White.  He is so awesome -- if you're coming to the signing, I hope you'll consider coming to the show, too.  And those who are interested (and hungry!) will be getting pizza and salad somewhere between the two events.  Here's the info on the show:

Natick, MASSACHUSETTS
Saturday, December 7, 2002
7:30 - 10:00 p.m.
Don White
At the Appalachian Benefit Coffeehouse
First Congregational Church of Natick
Rts. 27 and 135 in downtown Natick
Tickets:  $10
(All proceeds go to Cabel-Lincoln County Workcamp, an organization that rebuilds housing elderly and disabled people in Appalachia.)

2) If you DON'T live in the New England area, I'm having a virtual signing!  You can order books by snail mail (so okay, it's not really a virtual signing, but we're working on it...), I'll buy 'em from the B&N, sign 'em and send 'em to you!  Click on the link above for details.  (And act fast -- this is a limited time offer.  Orders must be received via snail mail by December 6th!)

3) On-line chats:

I'm going to be scheduling a bunch of voice chats in my chat room but not until I finish writing GONE TOO FAR.  (First things first! <g>)  As soon as I get them set up, I'll post info on my appearances page, and on the BB as well.  I'll be scheduling some U.S.-time-zone friendly chats, as well as a Euro-friendly chat, as well.

In the mean time, I do have one chat definitely scheduled at www.ivillage.com on Monday, December 16th from 9 - 10 p.m. EST.  You'll need to visit the chat room in advance, because you're required to register (which is both easy and free) before chatting.  So don't wait until the last minute to do that if you're planning to attend.

4) Other fun stuff --  Ballantine is sending out a special edition of its PillowTalk e-newsletter today.  They're giving away signed books as well as a Navy SEAL sweatshirt and some T-shirts, too.  Check it out at http://www.randomhouse.com/BB/pillowtalk/brockmann.html

Okay.  This concludes our Countdown.

Here's this year's schedule:

That's it!  The end!  Thanks for joining me here each day on the Countdown to ITN.  (Rob's Word of the Day remains an item of interest on the bulletin board so please do stop by to get your daily dose of salty musings.)

See you next time!!
