Note from Suz:  It's time for our first...

TRIVIA QUIZ!

Trivia Quiz # 1: Troubleshooters Women Who Kick Butt!

There is one Grand Prize for Trivia Quiz # 1 -- a signed copy of my extremely hard to find Loveswept, BODY LANGUAGE.

We'll be using the same rules that we used for the trivia quizzes during the countdown to Flashpoint:

RULES:

1)  Participants must email their numbered answers to my special trivia quiz email address:  SuzBrockmann@aol.com    (NOTE:  This is different than my regular email address!!!)  Entries must BE RECEIVED by noon ET, Monday, December 6th, 2004 at this email address only(NOTE:  Go, go, go!  <g>  The clock is running!)  We are not responsible for entries that were not received due to cyberspace SNAFUs or delays, or entries sent to a different email address.

2)  The final "trivia" question is "Pick a number from 1 to 100."  This question will be used if more than one entry gets all the real trivia questions correct.  (And I expect that to be the case, cuz you guys are smart!  See, there's only one Grand Prize, and if 300 people answer all of the questions correctly...  well, you see why we have to do this!)  If no one picks the exact number for the final question, the winner will be the person who has chosen the closest number.  If two people surround the winning number, the winner will be the next highest number.  (Example:  Say I've picked 89 as the winning number, and none of the entrants select 89, but someone chooses 88 and some one chooses 90.  90 wins.  Okay?)  (I just want to make this clear from the start so there are no hurt feelings and no cries of "No fair!")   If six people all choose the winning number, then we will have a drawing for the Grand Prize -- I'll put all six names into a hat, close my eyes and pick one.  The other five will get an honorable mention listing here on my website!

3)  The Grand Prize Winner of Trivia Quiz # 1 will be announced on the countdown page for December 7th!

4)  Winner must provide their snail mail address to receive the Grand Prize via snail mail!

5)  Only one entry per person/email address, please!

NOTE FROM SUZ:  Okay, Ed created this quiz -- so some of these questions are really...  trivial.  LOL!  But all of the questions are about female characters who have appeared in my Troubleshooters/SEAL Team Sixteen series of books.

Gay 101:  Tolerance is a Fabulous Value!

This one falls into the "Learning About Tolerance Can Be Fun" category!

Recommended viewing:  Connie and Carla, written by and starring Nia Vardalos  (Available on video and DVD)  Also starring Toni Collette and David Duchovny.

Toni Collette and Nia Vardalos singing Don't Cry for Me, Argentina?  Say no more.

What?  You don't know who Nia Vardalos is?  She wrote and starred in My Big, Fat Greek Wedding.

Connie and Carla is the story of two woman who earn a marginal living singing show tune medleys in an airport lounge.  After witnessing a mob hit, they go into hiding, in Los Angeles -- as drag queens.

It's a clever and enormously funny twist on the old classic comedy theme of men in hiding pretending to be women.  (These are women in hiding who are pretending to be men who, as part of their profession, pretend to be women!  LOL!  It really works!)

The movie was an instant cult hit -- with a high camp factor and lots of really awesome versions of Broadway show tune classics sung by the mega-talented team of Collette and Vardalos.  (There's also an appearance by everyone's favorite gay icon, Debbie Reynolds!)

And David D. hits a home run with his tender performance as the genuinely caring brother of a real drag queen.

If you haven't seen Connie and Carla, run -- right now -- to your local Hollywood Video rental store.  Or better yet, buy a copy.  This one's on my keeper shelf -- it's worthy of repeated viewings!

That's all for now!  Be sure to come back for tomorrow's installment in the Countdown to HOT TARGET!

(Note from Suz:  I'm going to try to post each new day's countdown page before 10:00 a.m. eastern time.  Please be patient if I'm a little late...)

See you tomorrow!
