Countdown to

FLASHPOINT

3/24/04

6 days (and counting to Flashpoint, in stores on March 30th)

Note from Suz:  Reviews!  Flashpoint has received some reviews!

First is from Romantic Times BookClub Magazine, which gives FLASHPOINT four and a half stars and a Top Pick!  Jill M. Smith says:  "Lawrence Decker and Jimmy "Diego" Nash are career (government) agents, until a rendezvous turns bad because they don't get proper agency support.  Both call it quits and are recruited by Troubleshooters Incorporated, a company formed by ex-SEAL team leader Tom Paoletti.

Decker and Nash aren't the only former agents to be recruited; computer expert Tess Bailey also joins the team.  For love-'em-and-leave-'em Jimmy, she poses a problem, as feelings from their brief relationship linger close to the surface.

All reservations have to be put aside when a critical assignment is handed to them.  There's been a major earthquake in repressive Kazbekistan, and the CIA has evidence that (an) al-Qaeda operative was killed during the quake.  But his laptop, which could contain vital information, is missing.  Decker, Nash, Tess and their team go in posing as relief workers.  With a regime as corrupt and repressive as the one in Kazbekistan, no one is safe.

Powerhouse author Brockmann opens up a new chapter in the exploits of SEAL Team 16.  Creating Troubleshooters, Incorporated opens the door to whole new vistas for her to explore."

Next is from Suzanne Coleburn and Reader to Reader.  She writes:  "One thing for sure when FLASHPOINT comes out is that everyone is putting out their “Do Not Disturb” signs and savoring this fabulous book.

This book is a thrill a minute, a book that will keep you up all night with a cast of to die for characters flirting with danger and love and fast talking lies to save their lives. FLASHPOINT goes on sale March 30, 2004. Be there when the bookstore opens, or better yet, preorder this knock your socks off book. You sure won’t be disappointed."

Last but not least is from Tanzey Cutter, who reviews for the Old Book Barn Gazette and www.TheBestReviews.com  She writes:  "Brockmann has done it again! She’s written an intensely emotional, gut-gripping novel with tons of international intrigue ripped from today’s headlines. The fact that something like this could be happening right now makes it even more daring, dramatic and scary.  Accolades for Brockmann’s handling of this type of suspense/thriller will continue to accumulate with Flashpoint, and she deserves them!"

Thanks, Jill, Suzanne and Tanzey!

That's all for now!  Be sure to come back for tomorrow's installment in the Countdown to FLASHPOINT!

See you tomorrow!
