Countdown to
10/29/07
ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT will be in stores TOMORROW, on October 30, 2007
Note
from Suz: ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT is set in my home city of Boston,
Massachusetts.
Today's countdown feature is a virtual tour of my lovely Bahston!
I first moved to Boston way back in 1978, to attend Boston University. I've lived in various locations around the city -- close to Kenmore Square's famous Citgo Sign, and on Beacon Street, near historic Fenway Park. (Go Red Sox, 2007 World Series Champions!) (The lights from the ballpark and the noise of the crowd were part of the apartment's appeal, at least to a 19-year-old.)
There are various locations in Boston that I use in ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT, the first being the Sheraton Boston hotel in Copley Square. (Sam & Alyssa stay there in part one!) (This was, BTW, where I stayed on my very first visit to Boston!)
And then there's the Arlington Street Church, where the wedding ceremony takes place.
Jules and Robin live in Boston's historic South End, which is also one of Boston's gay neighborhoods, and a beautiful part of town.
Robin and Jules also spend time on Newbury Street, in Boston's Back Bay. (More pictures of Newbury Street here!)
Jules and Robin spend a very short time down by the waterfront, and consider having dinner at one of my favorite Boston restaurants, the Union Oyster House -- where JFK and his family liked to dine. (On one of our visits, we got to sit in the official "JFK favorite booth!") The Union Oyster House serves corn bread and baked beans, as well as that Boston staple, Sam Adams Boston Lager. It's always crowded and incredibly charming. (On the night that Jules and Robin were looking for a place to have dinner, the wait was considerable. It is not a very big spoiler for me to tell you that they did not get in. <g>)
Note from Suz: I'm going to try to post each new day's countdown page before noon eastern time. Please be patient if I'm a little late...
See you tomorrow!
