The internet is an amazing place. People from all over the world can come together and share their views and opinions on every topic from recipes to world hunger. When so many people from differing backgrounds and personal life experiences come together, we are never all going to agree about everything. Suz is a big fan of Spock's IDIC concept -- infinite diversity in infinite combinations. Just remember to respect each others' opinions and do not flame others when their opinion does not agree with yours.

If you chose to post to the Suzanne Brockmann Bulletin Board, you agree to follow some simple guidelines. If a post should violate the guidelines, the post will be deleted or edited at the administrator's discretion. Healthy debates are encouraged, but please do not engage in the following:

• Post derogatory remarks regarding any individual's race, religion, sexual orientation, or ethnic background.
• Use profanities or foul language.
• Make insulting remarks or statements to provoke other participants.
• Engage in personal attacks.
• Post information which would be considered an invasion of privacy such as a poster's personal information.
• Inhibit or restrict any other poster's enjoyment and use of the board.
• Post anything about a new book until after the book has been released. For a period of four weeks following the release of the book, please put a SPOILER notice in the message line. Do not include spoiler information in the message line. For example, an appropriate heading would be SPOILER: Into the Night thoughts. An inappropriate heading would be, SPOILER: X character dies. What do you all think?.

Don't respond to those who break the rules. Some people will break the rules just to get a rise out of you or to make the board an unpleasant place to be. This is known as the LTA policy (Leave this alone). The best thing to do is just ignore the troublemakers and they will go away.  (Click here for a great article on dealing with message board trolls!)
